Mission: Our mission is to cultivate a more creative tulsa through advocacy, education and innovative partnerships, which contribute to the quality of life and economic vitality of the greater community.

Programs: Facilty rentals: the hardesty arts center opened in december 2012 in the heart of the brady arts district and is home to the council. Multiple, flexible gallery spaces offer high-quality space for artists to exhibit their work and to integrate their work into the education programming offered in the building. The hardesty arts center offers the community of tulsa a place to engage with high-quality art and local, regional and national artists. Harwelden mansion. Originally a private home and listed on the national register of historic places, harwelden mansion reflects the elegance of the early 1920s with its unique architecture, majestic style, and gorgeous landscape. For decades, tulsans and guests have selected harwelden mansion to host their special events. Office space within harwelden mansion was offered at reduced lease rates to council member arts and humanities organizations. Rental of the mansion was also offered free to council members for their own programming and events, furthering the overall mission of the council.

school programs: the artists in the schools (ais) program provides students with high quality experiences in the arts that inspire their creativity and confidence, further their academic learning, and foster life-long appreciation of and participation in the arts. Through ais, ahha connects professional teaching, presenting, and performing artists in in all disciplines with schools through classroom presentations. Ais serves 90 schools in 5 districts and reaches 60,000 students annually. For one week every summer, as part of ais, tulsa area educators are invited to participate in the creative classroom institute (cci) free of charge. Through this professional development, teachers learn creative teaching strategies to use in their classrooms. Any given child-tulsa is a collective impact program among the john f. Kennedy center, 13 tulsa arts partners, and tulsa public schools that provides a quality, sequential arts education to every tps student in grades k-8 that includes art focused field trips, classroom curriculum and teacher professional development.

on site programs: ahha tulsa hardesty center offers classes and workshops for all ages, open studio hours, and student camps during fall, spring and summer breaks. The studio at ahha tulsa is a fine arts centered maker space that can be utilized by visitors during all open hours. On studio sundays, offered on every sunday of the year, there is a new activity, technique, or material for visitors of all ages to explore. During first friday art crawls, ahha welcomes 2,000 plus patrons to the gallery. The experience, a large-scale, immersive exhibition that encompasses the second floor of ahha tulsa hardesty center is open during public hours for visitors of all ages and the first floor gallery hosts an changing array of contemporary art exhibitions created by local, regional, national, and international artists.
