Mission: Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity (AAHH) was founded in 1983 as "Habitat for Humanity of Western North Carolina," the first Habitat affiliate in North Carolina. Now the largest builder of Green Built North Carolina homes in the state, AAHH has constructed more than 359 affordable homes and completed over 450 home repair projects, helping nearly 2,100 low-income WNC residents achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1987, and donations may or may not be tax-deductible.
