My son has dyslexia and we didn't realize there were so many options out there when it came to reading guides. This clear guide works for him but if it doesn't work for you, you may try one in a different color. The lady who drafted his education plan suggested these and told us that different people react differently to each color. There are also some people who find reading guides more of a hindrance than a help. However, this guide is helping my son and I'm very thankful. It's a pretty well made little guide and it's great for kids who are a little hesitant to use a guide because they don't want to feel different. I told my son to use it as a bookmark when he wasn't using it to read and the other kids have yet to tell the difference.
