Hi changed brands due to a price increase on my normal brand. This new brand lacks the full flavor of my normal brand.

I found this to be a healthy and tasty alternative to white rice. My biggest test was making Jamaican Coconut Rice and Beans.... it came out perfect! This is definitely a new essential items for me.

Tastier than plain brown rice, delicious hot ir cold in a rice salad. It’s the perfect companion to Thai dishes, especially pumpkin curry. Wouldn’t be without it!

I wanted a solid quality red rice to be part of my diet program. This was a large quantity of good quality red rice. The flavor is good on its own and it works well in my blend of rice (this red rice and the black rice from the same company), quinoa, hemp hearts, and chia seed. I use this rice three ways. The first is as part of the blend noted above. The second is just as rice on its own. The third is in a rice porridge made from yogurt, this rice (cooked), turmeric, and whey protein blended in a vitamix. In all of these applications this rice works well. The flavor on its own is nice. It also goes nicely with the turmeric and vanilla whey protein in the porridge.

Cooked my first batch yesterday. I was very surprised at how quickly it cooked on the stove in my regular pan. I used 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water, brought it to a boil, then reduced the heat to simmer. It was done in about 17-18 minutes. It's fluffy like wild rice, not sticky/dense like my usual brown rice. Good taste and texture. If it's better for me than other rice, awesome. It's a keeper.

The package arrived in a tight vacuum bag which helps to keep it fresh. The price is much better than what's available in local grocery stores.
