Mission: Assistance league of salt lake city is a nonprofit organization whose volunteers serve children and adults in our community through hands-on philanthropic programs.

Programs: Operation school bell-provides new clothing and hygiene items to preschool through high school students in need. Over 5,000 children from disadvantaged familys in utah were served.

operation healthy teeth - worked with 83 partnering dentists including pediatric dentists, endodontists, oral surgeons, sedation specialists and orthodontists to provide urgently needed dental treatment for 157 children who had no financial access to dental care. The program also furnished dental care education to children and parents.

baby bundles - provided a thoughtful, helpful array of baby items for 1,260 underserved women and their new infants.

brighter tomorrows - working with qualified agency referrals, brighter tomorrows supplied over 225 women and men re-entering the workforce or continuing their education with appropriate clothing, hygiene, hair care and shoes. 23 community agencies referred people to assistance league. Assault survivor kits - new clothing and hygiene items were given to 700 victims of assault following their forensic examination. Eye on the community - acts as response to recognized needs not met by other assistance league programs. Projects include homeless youth resource center, inn between hospice care, brighter futures foster care and horizonte high school. Clothing and hygiene items were provided as well as laptop computers to students entering college. Assisteens community service - 25 teens provided school supplies for headstart; assembled thanksgiving "turkey boxes" to families in need ; hosted a christmas event at the boys and girls club of murray; provided 96 toiletry kits for 10-14 year-olds moving into foster care; hosted valentine's activities at highland cove senior center and gave fruit baskets to its 50+ residents; assembled 100+ bunny baskets for the children at the family support center/lifestart village and made/served dinner at the ronald mcdonald house.
