I already snapped a couple bolts because I forget about the power behind this impact. If I'm not using my 3/4 snap on, I have the Thor hooked up to my air line. Makes brake jobs a breeze.

I was looking forward to using this today on a project it just arrived and upon my first inspection right out of the box the rear stud looks to be broken/over torque in my opinion so now im going through the return process i would like to get a replacement but a refund would be fine ill be looking for a new one thats for sure, im upset how this item turned out.

This gun is awesome. I ordered it when it was first released from summit racing. I waited 3 months for it to come in and in the mean time I purchased a mg725. But once I finally got my thor It became my go to. You can actually hear how much harder it's hitting then the snapon. I like the 2 stage trigger. Your always going full beans with an impact like this anyway. Definitely to much for a home gamer.

Yep, I had to wait several months for the restock, but it's worth it!This thing is a beast!Another great recommendation from Torque Test Channel on UTube.Slow throttling the trigger with only THREE tak-tak-taks easily spins off lugs nuts on automobiles, which are typically torqued down to 80 - 100 lbs.-ft.I'm scared to pull the trigger fully on lugs nuts! The Thor easily out-torques my old Ingersoll Rand 2235TiMax, which has not been relegated to back-up duty. The 2235 was slightly lighter in weight and a bit more balanced in hand. The 2235 costs more brand new.The trigger was a bit sticky, but using some lube on the trigger assembly minimized this problem, as mentioned in TTC.Adjustment of forward / reverse and 1 - 2 - 3 power levels is going to take some getting used to, as I like how the 2235 was laid out all on the back of the gun.The Thor has forward / reverse above the trigger, and the 1 - 2 - 3 level spin adjustment at the base by the air inlet - rather awkward for me.For the sub-$200 1/2 air gun, this will bang with all the big boys - i.e. tool truck - at a great discount. The question is how well stocked is it going to be versus demand...Can't wait to try this thing on stubborn, rusted suspension fasteners!

Another excellent tool from Astro. Really like the 1894's power and speed. The 2 stage trigger is going to take some getting used to but I can live with it.

Let me start off with this tool is amazing with the short time I've used it. At the shop I'm at we run 90 PSI throw all are air line. Being excited for my new tool I hook it up to the air line and the first full trigger pull the bolt head blow off. I was really disappointed when this happened. But I continued to use it throughout the day and lit me tell you it amazing. The sad part is. im probably going to return it or go through the worrany process. I give up dates on what happeneds...

I've been using a Carlyle 1/2in drive impact from Napa as my daily drive for about 5 years. It finally died and since I had such good luck with my onyx die grinders. I decided to try the Thor dispite it being more expensive than a Napa impact. This thing is nice. It's way smoother than the Napa impact and way more powerful. It is slightly heavier overway, but it's a little more balanced and more comfortable to hold. I do miss the F/R switch bring a lever I could trip back and forth with my thumb single handedly, but the wing style selector on Thor is solid and a smooth action. My favorite thing though, is that this impact doesn't jerk when the trigger is pulled. The spin up is smooth. I don't know if the hammer action has been removed to achieve this, but so far it hasn't hesitate to remove a bolt.

Considering this is the hardest hitting impact on the planet I was expecting it to be much bigger. It's around the size of a snap on mg725.

This really is the strongest 1/2” impact on the market you only have to tap the trigger to get some bolts off , only one complaint , the trigger is uncomfortable until you figure it out

Small price for this type of power, easily beats 1000 dollar impacts in performance. Will break some vehicle studs on high setting if hammered too long

First off, when the box arrived it looked like Tom Brady chucked it out of a plane into a mine field. The gun inside the box was all scuffed and beat. I was tempted to return it but I waited two months for it after seeing it on Torque Test Channel and SMA. so I figured if it could survive whatever happened on the way here it would last forever. Sure enough gun works great. Trigger a bit stiff for the first 10 minutes of use. Gave it oil and grease. Before first use. And I use the 1/2 to 3/8 airline included adapter. On to the real review, coming from a snap on mg725, this THOR is insane. The snap on tightened stuff, the 189Thor(4) breaks stuff. It doesn't care how much you like that 21mm bolt. It will make it submit. Two Duggas with the Thor is 4 with the mg725. It doesn't care what opinion that bolt has.I've currently gone thru 2 full work days with the Thor. It's lighter then my old one, way better trigger, and as stated before, big macho muscle. To the point it's almost not a good homeowner / personal use impact cause without a 'feel' for the gun you will break stuff. It will keep turning bolts no matter what torque they are at.Overall would buy again. I will update if the gun has issues in the coming months. Also was using the MG725 to remove caliper bolts and it couldn't do it. Walked over, grabbed the Thor and took em out like they were torqued to baby setting.

Seen this on SMA and the torque test channel it looks really impressive. I can't wait to use this in the shop, mine arrives Thursday. I love the stuff I have of Astro tools so I don't think I'll be disappointed.
