I love the hell out these things... Superb sound over many other high-end headphones Ive had such as Sennheiser, Bose, Sony, etc. Everything was pretty and melodies were being delivered to my ears with celestial sharpness and mighty bass until the right speaker died along with its warranty coverage period of 2 years! Now I'm left in despair and awful sorrow reminiscing on the great days of musical joy and happiness these m30x's gave me for over 2 exact years... Not a minute more...

I was very pleasantly surprised by these inexpensive headphones with classical music. (only music genre that I listen to.) In comparing them with my Grado's PS1000e Professional Series headset. Listening to Cyprien Katsaris playing Chopin live at Carnegie Hall, the reproduction of the piano (my favorite instrument) was outstanding! The acoustics of the Hall were very well defined and real accurate reproduction of that instrument. The live performance was (I was there sensation) alive, if you catch my meaning. On his live performance of Bach (C.K). live at the Budapest again the I was there sensation permeated .These are only two (best) samples that I feel qualifies the ATH-M 30x. head phones as worthy of ones consideration especially if your taste leans towards this genre of music. I hope this review will help one in making a choice among the many commercial head phones on the market. Thank you .

The comfiest pair of over-ear headphones I've owned. Build quality is superb. Audio quality is even better compared to equivalent level Sennheisers.

lightweight, great sound. pro/con depending on who you are - they stay snug, and want to stay on your ears, even if trying to prop above them, may slip down into position

Came as predicted well protected. A very well made headset. Tried right away on Pandora and the sound is Very Nice and a benefit of a comfortable ear set was the outside sound is muted.I have nice room speakers but these BEAT them SAD these were gotten last when my wife complained on my BIG sound. Now I listen in isolation and it seems even better WOW

I couldn't be happier! The packaging was in great condition, inside and out. The headphone adjust smoothly, feel very comfortable, and sound awesome! They also do a really great job of blocking out outside noise. Great buy!

Pro- very nice audio, no frags at high volume, as expected of Audio-Technica, a good amount of noise proof, comes with a 1/4 inch aux connector (nice add on for studio production), nice long cable but don'trip, good portability in the little pouch it comes with. Cons- the cushioning around the speakers could be a little softer, after about 30 minutes of wearing the headphone I would feel like the skin around my ear, as the M30x are over ear, become very sore. Loosening the headphones would cause the headphones to rest on the ears in effect making the ears become sore from the weight of the headphones. Overall- Great headphones, my old headphones broke down after being with me for 2 years and wanted to try out a pair, but beware these pair are made with a plastic body in mind and if taken outside, take caution as plastic is not as strong as you think. Great going Audio-Technica keep doing you.
