I've had these for almost 2 weeks now. The sound quality is great, noticeably better than my old JVC headphones at a similar price point. Build quality is much better too. They're lighter, but without feeling flimsy. If anything I feel more confident because there aren't any heavy cans flopping around to crack plastic and damage the joints. Great sound, comfortable to wear, and solidly built without being heavy. These are my first Audio-Technica headphones but I'll definitely buy from them again. Since they're my first I was a little conservative in my spending. I'd recommend paying a little extra for the M40x if you really want to make an investment. That way you have the full range of motion for the swivel, and a replaceable cord if that part becomes worn. Either way, 5/5 I'm very satisfied.

These headphones are amazing, I've had them for 2 years now and I absolutely love them. They're super comfortable even with glasses, I've worn them for 8 hours a day for days in a row and had no issues. I use the smaller jack for my computer, then screw on the larger adapter to plug into y amp when playing my guitar which is super convenient. I'm no audio technician but as far as I can tell the audio quality is great, bass mid and treble all sound good, and they don't project sound externally so others won't be able to hear what is playing. The extra long cable is also super nice so that you're not tied to whatever they're plugged into. They're easy to adjust and they stay set once you adjust them and also fold up into a small bag for transport. The build quality seems solid. I'm not nice to my headphones, they've fallen from my desk I don't know how many times, been yanked off my head, and stuffed in a backpack over and over again and they still are in great condition with only the typical wear of use. And the low price brings the whole thing together, for similar quality headphones in other big name brands you'd be paying at least $30-$40 more. I can honestly say I have no complaints about these headphones, I highly recommend them to anyone.

Disclaimer: I'm not an audiophile. However, for a run-of-the-mill consumer of headphones who values a bit of quality, these are perfect! Not much else to say except don't waste your money on Beats ever again, and return them if you got them as a Christmas or birthday gift.
