bought these for my 12yo who runs middle school cross country with a local track club - after wasted time searching at our local specialty stores At first glance they looked rather tiny in the waist boys medium) but he did not complain about them being too tight They are the perfect length for running He felt a little weird with them being short for years he has chosen to run in basketball shorts) but I had to point out all the college and high school runners at his meet who had shorts just as short These arent too lightweight like the old nylon Umbros but not heavy to weigh a runner down Hard to tell from the picture but there is a side slit on each leg My son chose to wear the compression underwear under these shorts to show a little less leg The material is sort of meshy with a built in underpant They fit true to size and look nice on Definitely a must for any adolescent runner Arrived quicker than expected Very pleased with this product Will purchase again
