Product Description
This Amish Paste seed produces the perfect "tennis ball" shaped tomatoes weighing 8-12 ozs. that have delicious flavor. They are the ultimate paste tomato and produce so abundantly! These will amaze you at how beautiful, flavorful, and productive they are! Open pollinated.
WHERE & WHEN TO PLANT: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before last spring frost, planting ¼" deep. Keep moist and in adequate lighting. Transplant to larger containers when needed. When danger of frost has passed, accustom plants to outside conditions by moving seedlings to a sheltered area for a week before planting in the garden. Plant 2-3' apart, preferably staked/caged to keep upright.
REMARKS: Tomatoes prefer a sunny, well-drained location. Soil should be well fertilized with compost/manure. Plant vines deep, up to the 2 top sets of leaves. Evenly water throughout the summer. Pruning can be beneficial. Harvest fruits as ripe as possible. Before frost, pick in any larger green tomatoes to ripen indoors to extend the harvest.
