Granulated Organic Maple Sugar is a delicious alternative to cane sugar. Sprinkle it on toast, cereal or fruit, or add a pinch to sweeten your tea!

General Cooking: Use only three-fourths the amount of organic maple syrup or maple sugar is to white sugar. For example, if a recipe says to use 1/4 cup (4 Tablespoons) of sugar, use 3 Tablespoons of organic maple sugar or syrup instead.
Baking: For every cup of sugar, substitute 3/4 cups organic maple syrup or maple sugar. If using maple syrup reduce the dominant liquid in the recipe (for example, water or milk) by 2 to 4 Tablespoons.
You may also need to add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to reduce maple syrup's slight acidity; this will not be necessary in recipes with buttermilk, sour milk, or sour cream. (Grade B is the preferred syrup for cooking.)
You can use maple sugar as an everyday sweetener, in place of other sugars when you bake. you can even add on top of toast, or add in your coffee.
