Product Description
Mexico is the birthplace of vanilla and that country consistently produces some of the finest vanilla available anywhere. In fact, all vanilla plants around the world are derived from the original Mexican vanilla orchids.
At Azure, we source only the best Mexican vanilla for our Azure Market brand. We use only the finest, most flavorful vanilla beans and a cold extraction process to produce an aromatic vanilla that is a favorite of pastry chefs around the world.
This Azure Market concentrated vanilla flavoring contains less than 4% naturally occurring alcohol. (Vanilla "extracts" often contain as much as 30% alcohol.) That means you'll use less vanilla because there is more flavor left in the final baked product, due to the low amount of alcohol. There is no coumarin, additives or preservatives.

Q: Why is there sugar in your vanilla extract?
A: Sugar is actually one of five permissible ingredients, besides vanilla, water and alcohol, that the FDA allows in Pure Vanilla Extract. It helps in the extraction process of the vanilla extract by softening the beans and making it easier to extract the flavoring material from the beans. Additionally, it helps keep the vanilla compounds extracted from the bean in suspension providing clarity to the product. Vanilla extracts that don't use sugar or use other sweetener often look cloudy because the matter is floating around in the liquid. While other sweeteners work (and some producers even use corn syrup), we use 100% all-natural crystalized cane sugar because we prefer the reliable quality and taste. In the end, the sugar content in our extract is a minimal percentage of the end product.

Wow! This vanilla is so delicious. I hadn’t even heard of “four fold” vanilla extract before now but it is by far superior in flavor to the standard extract and for only a little more money. Because of the lasting flavor, I can actually use less of it in a recipe so it really is a great value too. I will definitely buy this again.
