Mission: The Festival is a celebration of multi-cultural traditional arts -- music, dance, crafts, food and storytelling. The Bangor Folk Festival, founded in 2003, grew out of the need to increase access exposure, and education of traditional and multicultural arts and culture for people in our underserved and economically challenged region. Through greater access and exposure to multicultural arts and culture, the AFF will positively impact our region's quality of life where many residents have not been afforded the opportunity to experience and learn about the arts, hear live performances from traditional artists, and take part in workshops about other cultures and traditions.

Programs: Produce a free traditional arts music festival in bangor, maine; provide access to high-quality arts and artists to residents and visitors of eastern maine; educate festival-goers about the culture and heritage of maine, the region, and the world; create economic stimulus throughout the region.
