This white 1 gallon round plastic container is made with nonvolatile polypropylene that doesn’t react to liquids, acids, or bases and designed with a tamper evident security system against unfortunate openings or shoplifting in retail and industrial markets.
- Commercial food packaging made of FDA compliant polypropylene with a handle
- Can withstand hot fill applications and high temperatures of up to 180° F
- Microwave and dishwasher safe
- Leakproof without the use of a gasket, even after repeated use
- Thinner walls than HDPE with stronger top load resistance

I normally use the glass jars but I am getting older and things tend to slip out of my hands so I am not using the plastic for most storage needs when it comes to dry, bulk purchases like beans, rice and sugar.I don't know if it's necessary but I always use Stretch Tight Wrap over the top of the jar before I put the lid on. I never have a problem with my flour or sugar when I take the extra precaution.I have no problem recommending these jars.

Our raccoons consistantly knock the glass jar off our squirrel feeder and break the glass. The plastic has solved that issue. Wish the plastic were a tad bit heavier as we also use a bungee cord to keep in place and sometimes the plastic caves in.
