Metal on lid not very sturdy can bend when trying to close the lid. Going to use for storage of winter items.

Has a plastic smell.. i use it for bulk cat food storage ... I put the food in two 50 gal trash bags to keep the plastic smell from getting in the food....works great i like it

We are using as a waterer for our chickens. No problems with the drum. No bacteria growth thus far. Will definately recommend for those looking to make a high capacity chicken waterer.

WoW! I wasn't expecting this drum to be commercial grade, but it is! The plastic is thick and the lid is very thick with an intergrated seal. The locking ring is heavy duty. These drums are definitely better than the flimsy 55gallon ones. I will consider buying another soon.

Pretty solid little drum. The lid flexes in quite a bit under full vacuum and I need to reinforce it a little moreUpdate: After replacing the filter on my rigid shop vacuum it worked a little too well and started to implode my drum. I will need to put a reinforcement rib in it somewhere.

The seal is air tight and the container is a 1.5 to 2 inch thickness. However the outside metal rusted when wet but it did not affect the seal.

Good product. The first one had a slight flaw on the rim which caused it not to seal with the lid that I fixed. the second one was perfect.

SUPER!!! I use it in a sawdust collection system. Well made, top seals tight, and holds plenty for a home shop. Very happy with the purchase and I would purchase again.

They’re good as expected. The old school locking mechanism can absolutely cut your finger off. Be careful. I would think this design could be improved - it’s a very old style mechanism. The only other complaint is the bottoms are not flat so they’re difficult to stack. Would be better if the bottom was flat.

These are a great value! We are using to pump water for a remote garden! And another we turned into a rain barrel! They have a very strong sturdy seal mechanism that creates an very tight no-spill condition!
