Decent buckets for the price.

A fantastic bucket, easily worth the money. Top seals really well and will probably require a bucket top remover because it's so well built. Plastic is thick and food safe.

Very good quality

They work well, only problem is that I had to purchase a mallet (16 oz at least) in order to seal the lid - and the reason I deducted a star. My husband had to do it for me because I just couldn't get them on, dunno if I was just hitting them in the wrong spot or what.Very sturdy and great for long-term storage. It's more affordable than gamma lids, but we can outfit these with the gamma lid if we need to.For anyone starting out and especially if you're on a budget, these would be good. Just make sure you have the mallet because you can't seal any other way.

The product arrived promptly, and it was easy to get the 5 buckets and lids paired up. The buckets are stackable once you close them, so storage is easy. I use a couple of them in the garage to store salt for my driveway, and so far it has been a good solution: the buckets are sturdy and the lids are water-tight even without sealing them completely. I also plan on using a couple of them to store grass seed so that I don't have to worry about rodents and other pests getting to partially opened and used plastic bags. The buckets do come with instructions on how to use a mallet to seal the buckets with the lids (after which you have to cut off a tamper-proof seal in the lid to get the lid off again).

I recently bought a bunch of rice and grains in bulk and decided to use these for long term food storage. These buckets are perfect. The lids were a little harder to seal than I thought but that's a good thing. Air tight.

But, when you consider six of them have enough food for me and mine for years worth of sugar, (along with a whole bunch of other stuff like salt, etc.) in a safe, secure strong container, well, what's your life worth anyway. Cheap at twice the price if the balloon goes up.

When I went to use them, I realized one lid was missing.

They are great quality.The thickness and sturdiness is exactly what I was hoping for.Great for food storage for long term, the can be sealed very tightly.I am happy that the lid has a ring that allows a secure seal. The ring needs to be cut in order to open the bucket. Just the same way as if you would buy a bucket of pickles from the store.I bought them twice now and can recommend them strongly !

When we realized just how much excess honey our backyard hives produced this year, we needed five-gallon buckets, and we needed them in a hurry. These bucket got to our place in good time to use for collecting and storing the honey, and they are exactly as advertised. Good experience with this seller.

I wanted these to put honey in and not worry about the bucket splitting because it wasn't thick enough to hold the weight.

Let me say first that a lot of the negative reviews are not fair representation of the buckets and seller. The buckets are 90mil thick. Thicker than big box and do it yourself centers. The lids are sturdy and once put on with or without a rubber mallet(makes process easier) they cannot be removed until the plastic strip at bottom edge of lid is removed. This is stated on lid itself. People I believe fail to do this. Also you can purchase a small tool to help in removing lid for a couple dollars. Once the tear away strip on lid is removed the lid comes off. The lid also has what I believe is a very good o-ring type gasket that helps in sealing the lid on bucket. A lot of lesser buckets and lids have a flat gasket that tends to deform after a while. You get what you pay for. These may be a little more but are of a higher quality than those of Home Depot, Lowe's etc. those are .70mil I am very pleased with the quality. I ordered 12 and will be ordering at least another 6 but probably 12. The order was complete with no missing items.
