would be 5 if clamp was longer. 1/2 time have to realign when reclamping. pops over the eachother when unclamped

I bought this metal lid for the matching 5-gallon pail in order to make a Faraday Cage for my spare electronics. See my review of the pail for more details about what that is and why every home should have one.This lid works as expected but with one issue. The latching and locking mechanism to secure the lid to the pail is very, VERY finicky. It does work but it often takes me several attempts to secure it properly. That's the only reason why I didn't give it a full 5 stars.

I used this for my vortex filter on a metal bucket. Cut a hole and mounted the vortex chamber on top to fit under my shop CNC table. I bought the metal 5gal. Bucket to avoid having a plastic one collapse ( like they did) this sealed perfectly.

Extremely hard to get on and off. I first thought it was meant to be permanently on to dispose of something toxic and maybe I got the wrong size. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong. Bucket and lid are sturdy. I'm using it for fire pit and fireplace clean out.
