Had a 1 1/4 that was cut halfway through with a 1/8-inch gap. Use the entire putty stick to fill the gap and encircle the entire pipe. Pressed it flat about 3/4 inch beyond the filled gap and let it dry for an hour. Tested it with approximately 40 psi liquid and there was leak after 10 minutes. Prior to placement of the putty, the pipe exterior was sanded with 50 grit sandpaper. The application was very easy, and the putty adhered well to the plastic pipe. Because the pipe is buried about 30 inches deep, I wrapped over the putty with some silicone tape to protect and to provide some added leak protection.

I've been using the epoxy adhesive and I must say it's pretty easy to use. This comes in especially handy for quick fixes around the house. However, I do feel that the 2 oz. size could be a bit larger. I seemed to run out quicker than I had anticipated. Despite the size, it's a very useful product to have on hand.

JBWeld makes fantastic epoxy and this one is no exception. Slice a piece of putty mix as described and place by molding into your repair.Remember to ware disposable gloves. JB weld has a complete line of epoxy and can meet most requirements. Remember to view there full line of epoxy's and applications for each.Fine star for each sub category

Got this to repair a rusting leaking gas tank of an old reel mower that is about 50 years old. This was my mom's mower from her home that the family was going to get rid of as it needed a lot of work and hadn't been running for decades. As I am pretty handy and because of sentimental feelings, brought it home, overhauled it, sharpened the reel blade and got it running, About a month ago, kept smelling gas where I had mower stored in my tool shed, to find gas dripping from the tank from tiny rust perforations. Someone informed me this particular epoxy putty might work for fuel tanks. Removed the tank, sanded it down, mixed up the epoxy putty and applied. Water checked it after allowing the putty to dry and harden. Works extremely well and tank doesn't leak. BTW, could not locate a replacement gas tank as the mower is so old.

I was having a problem with my steam boiler pipe leaking, needed to remove good part of the piping to replace itdecided to give it a try with this putty, I was amazed at how with the pipe still dripping hot water I was able to seal the leak. I don't know how long it will last but so far so good. I do recommend it

I've been very happy with this. It's very easy to use and cures in just 1 hour - so convenient! It's ideal for plumbing repairs, just perfect for my situation. Had a crack in the bottom of the bathtub. It leaked water all underneath. Used this and within two hours was able to take a bath, no leaks. Highly recommended!
