Bought a dust deputy 2.5 to place on top. It comes with a strong/clear lid with an air seal. Love the clamping ring. Its almost as if it were made for th8s specific application. Strong enough where it doesn't implode. As another reviewer noted, shining a light through the top makes it easy to check fill level.

Was building a dust separator for my woodworking shop and needed a container like this one. It took a very long time to arrive, so long in fact I almost gave up and canceled the order. Glad I didn't, because it is a well-made sturdy container, just what I needed. I did feel it was too expensive for what you are getting, but again you get what you pay for.

Much drum, very large, so yellow, wow! seriously though, this drum is very durable and sturdy, comes with a great sealing top and a removable metal band. I use it for my dust collector, the top seals so well that I don't need to use the metal band.

Works great as a dust collector barrel. I have a one car garage and can't afford for my dust collector to be on the ground and was very happy to find a barrel that is short and wide to allow me to mount my 2hp dust collector just below the ceiling and still be able to park my router table underneath. Lid works well but I recommend reinforcing it with plywood if you do use it for dust collection unless you have the super dust deputy 4 with the wide bottom mount. Lock ring holds firm yet removed easily enough for the weekly emptying. Only modification coming is a strip of lexan put on the side close to the top so I can view the dust level. Others have mentioned it being opaque but I can't seem to get light to pass thru it.

I'll be using this under my Oneida Dust Deputy with some modifications. It is the perfect size for the shop. Won't get too heavy to empty and not so tall that it won't fit in my small shop.

As mentioned by another reviewer, the top to this has changed, and now it won't work with the large flanged dust deputy by Oneida.
