I used this to make a winterizing tank for the fresh water side of the diesel engine in my sailboat. It worked well for that, but the cap did leak when the jug was turned on its side. It is sturdy. And the cap has a 3/4 threaded center you can drill or cut out if you wish to screw in a threaded nipple, which is what I did. I would buy this again for what I used it for, but I think this is the only jug I will need for this purpose as it seems it will hold up well.

Works exactly how youd expect it to. I don't transport mine alot, mainly use for emergency storage and as a demonstration piece (i'm a teacher). I'm using it to show how women in Sudan transport water, especially if remote away from drilled wells.

I buy these 5 gallon contains for storing old automotive coolant (of all types). I imagine there are other chemicals you could store in these as well, but I haven't tested any for corrosion resistance. These tanks let me store a few coolant flushes worth in an environmentally friendly way. When they get full, I just haul them off to get recycled.

I used it to change my oil in 3 trucks make 1 trip to dispose of it. The only minor problem was the small vent hole had to be punched open, quick fix!!!!

I do a lot of oil changes, and until purchasing this had tried to use the old oil containers to recycle used oil. But I often ran out of containers, and they were a hassle to fill 4-5 quarts at a time. I bought this so I would have a single container that would last for several oil changes, and would be easier to fill.The container is solidly constructed, and did not have the vent cap hole punched out yet (in case you don't need or want that). The mouth opening is quite wide, and has made recycling used oil much easier than filling gallon containers. I should have bought this years ago and avoided a lot of messes!

Used them to do transmission flush on my FJ Cruiser. Used one for the old oil to pour into and another to put the clean oil and pump it back in. Excellent containers for my purpose.
