Haven't used it yet but I can tell this is just your average grill grate lifting tool. My only real complaint is that this tool is more straight than other tools I've had/seen. If you look at the picture of the person holding it, look at the angle of the tool when they have it in their hands and imagine what the angle of it lifting a grill grate would be. The tool has to be at a 90 degree angle to the grates versus other tools that might have a bend in the handle much lower making lifting hot grates easier. Also, the tool is on the thinner side where the bottom hook. If your grates are thinner than normal, maybe try another tool. Mine are cast iron and pretty standard sized, but the grate does have room to move. Just make sure you look at the tool before you actually use it cause there might be better options for you.

Just got a new Weber Spirit II E-310 and really needed this tool to lift the grates up. Super easy to lift and remove each grate using this tool (one is all you need). Recommended!

My only complaint is i wish the crossed lugs for the top of the grates aren't quite long enough, it has a tendency of falling into the rack on one side or the other. Could be my grill but how differently spaced do they make grates?
