My grill has cast iron grates, so this lifter is perfect for them. It has a course finish, and the handle portion is curved and long enough which all make it easier to hang on to. A great choice! And the price is right too!

This makes it super easy for me to move a hot or greasy grill grate up/down a level or completely out of my Traeger grill. Before it was awkward to pull/lift out and I always got my hands greasy and/or had to use heat-resistant gloves if it was during a cook session. This simple tool was a godsend.

It lifted the 3 cast iron grates like it was made for it. Very pleased. It works was better than the original lifter that I lost which had came with the grill. Hopefully I can find the original as a spare?
