This is a fantastic book-I believe it helped both our boys learn sign language which they were able to repeat by 11 months and up.

Such a cute book to teach your baby to sign. Even a few simple signs are very helpful and fun for you and your baby.

After reading several reviews of other books, and this one, I can say (without having purchased others) that this one is very good. I do want to stress that depending on the child's age and development, there will likely be a delay between your teaching, and their learning, and another between them being able to replicate the signs. I had almost given up teaching them to my son when he did the more sign. I'd almost missed it, because it was different from what we'd been teaching, but like speaking, at first the sign(word) comes out - his way - so watch for their signs to be quite imperfect at first. Seems that this method of communication relieved a lot of the stress he was having in not being able to communicate. Just imagine if you woke up one day not able to tell anyone your wants and needs. Well, that's being an infant (and a cat). These signs are the first steps on the road to communication, and I can almost guarantee both parent and child will have an easier time if these are practiced.

I purchased this book for my grandson who is now 2; We worked with him on his signs in order for him to communicate with us before he learned to talk. He still uses sign to express himself and it is a great book to have in the home.

Great book! Love the size around newspaper folded in half.

I looked at so many different baby sign books before ordering and we are very happy with this one. Some books have only 5-6 basic signs, other books are like a full dictionary! I find this one 34;just right34; with a good selection of words. One reviewer said that two pages were the same - they must have gotten a defective book. I can attest we do not have any duplicate pages in our book. Highly recommend if you are looking to go beyond the basics but not necessarily up to 50 words.

My grandson loves this book. We read it every time he visits. He loves to look at the pictures and practice the signs.
