Admittedly, I have skimmed through it, but find that from the beginning discussion skies, bindings and boots, to the history and beyond this book is inaccurate, and by and large out dated. It does not capture the Dynafit binding revolution more does it know of the NTN telemark binding revolution, and as I said the historic facts are not correctly presented. Like most american textbooks there is a lot of words to say very little rendering the reader to struggle to get the main message. Its a pity since the authors obviously between them has done a lot of skiing, and possess a lot of knowledge on the topic of american backcountry skiing.
