Mission: Backpacks For Life's mission is to provide homeless, low income and at risk veterans and their families with things they cannot provide for themselves. Through peer-to-peer mentorship, distributing backpacks filled with daily & long term essentials and linking veterans with resources, our goal is to get veterans and their family back to living their best life!

Results: To date, we have handed out over 7,500 backpacks to homeless veterans in need by attending Stand Down events, working with other veteran organizations across the country and visiting local homeless shelters where we get to know veterans and give them the support they need. We also connect with local police officers who we equip with our backpacks in the event that they work with homeless veterans. We are also contacted by individual veterans when they are in need of help and we send them a backpack full of resources.

Geographic areas served: the tri-state area primarily, but have helped veterans across the country!
