I like these jars but I wasn't aware they didn't have the markings on the jar. So I took a star off. I don't buy canning jars without the ounce markers. I use the jars for more than canning. Price is good. I checked and all the stores have raised prices on the canning jars. So it's a great value but not as handy as the jars with markers. Offering without the lids and bands is a great idea. I prefer to buy ForJar canning lids.
