These are tough boots. On the expensive side but I am hoping they will last a long time with care and maintenance. I am very happy with my purchase. I will update if they’re not that great if needed. I’d I don’t update that means I am still happy.

Owned Bates patrol boots before, and the fell apart fast. But these are full body leather, so I thought I'd give it a go.Everything fit loosely upon 1st impression until I went hiking in them. So I bought a pair of insoles for them and the not only fit better, feel better, but preform better!!I would also recommend wearing these with thick socks, perhaps wool, or a blend of wool?They're easy to get in and out of, they seem much taller than 11 inches, the toe box is suited for those who have narrow feet but wide toes like Keens!! I'm impressed so far, but the wear and tear I put into my time with them will truly tell.

Purchased these boots for my husband with the vision of him wearing them with his skinny suits to create a really fashion forward look.I must say that these boots are amazing!!! They look designer, they are comfortable for him and the two times he has worn them he has been stopped multiple times. Everyone wants to know where he got them.We are extremely satisfied with this purchase!

Shoes and boots never last me for the work I do every day bit ill tell you these boots are great quality. I wear them no matter what and they actually fit a suit and tie decently well, I definitely think if you like the style then you should cop the real quick.

Boot overall fits great and polished make a uniform shine. If you have larger calves though the top down snap closure leaves a bit to desire. Tongue lace loop stitching came apart in the short time I have had them. If the boots themselves hold up at least a year with daily wear I will buy again.

These are fantastic boots and extremely sturdy. The sole is sewn onto the shoe itself, making it a great long term investment. I ordered a size below what I wear in tennis shoes. I have wide feet and theres plenty of room. Pick up some thick socks with these boots though, they will give you nasty heel bite if you don’t.

Extremely stiff right out of the box, this is a TOUGH pair of boots, so make sure you're ready to put some miles on them before they feel just right. These are not your average hiking boots, getting your feet in requires loosening the laces quite a bit, even in spite of the side zipper, but it is really a matter of habit and spending those extra five minutes before muscle memory kicks in. The laces are nice, sturdy, but a little floppy for my taste, so I replaced them with Iron Laces. I do that with all my boots, just a personal preference, as I tend to be a little rougher with laces and break them more often than I'd like.Overall I have a very positive impression and would recommend these boots for looks, function and quality of materials.

I have been wearing Corcorans for many years. This set of Bates meets my expectations. I have not had the time to spit shine the toe and heal yet, but I expect them to look like mirrors matching my Corcorans.

Love the boot...well made and really like the side zipper for easy on and off. On problem is that when I initially bought the boots they were too large. THEY DONT FIT TRUE TO SIZE. I have to go down a full size for proper fitment. other than that love them.

these are the best fitting boot i have ever worn..i was always wearing docs but they don't do half sizes so i always have a bigger boot...i will from now on just replace this boot with the exact same one when they need to be replaced...beyond happy with this purchase...just wonderful boots..

I like my boot a bit wider and bigger (looser) and the 10.5W is almost too wide so I also got a 10W. Both are SOOO comfortable for me anyways. They will need time to break in, but they have not torn up my ankle or heel. That being said, I can stand in them all day and my feet aren't dead. Most comfortable boots Ive ever owned other than my 15 year old (better quality back then) Danner Fort Lewis.
