I was at first apprehensive. but this is the most comfortable boot I've worn in a while, the last boot I had like this rubbed my heel and the ball of my foot raw. I could trek for miles in these and it feels fine, I would definately reccommend.

Wonderfull product, i took some time to make them softer, the ankle area is very stiff.Anyway, i'm pleased.Suggestion to anyone: If your shoe size is X, in this case (this BATES boots model), If you want them, ask for a X1 size, i'm sure you will be more comfortable.

This is my 3rd pair of Bates 11 Paratrooper boots.They're beautiful, wear in well and are arguably the most comfortable footwear (cheap, brand name, boot or shoe, doesn't matter).From what I have seen, they're good for about 3 years before the look and feel worn and unprofessional.Seriously, if you don't need a steel/composite toe boot, anything else (within the price point or less) is trash.
