I'm a marine mechanic and find much of my days spent in small, dark engine rooms and such. This light makes life that much easier being cordless and LED.The magnetic hook is a great feature, it can be moved from the top or the side.My only grip (and it's a small one) is that every nut, bolt and piece of metal shavings stick instantly to the two magnets on the light.so far this week, I've had the light ON for over 5 hours and I didn't need to recharge it but went ahead and did so anyway due to another long day coming, better safe then sorry. I don't know how long it will actually last and honestly, I have no intention of finding out the hard way.I'm concerned about the lens covering, it seems light and thin and I'm sure its quite strong but I am a full time mechanic, we're not kind to our toys... Time will tell it the lens will be scratched to hell or even break.

Good light. Short battery life is a problem. Do not care for the magnets. Overall it is a good product.

Works well, is light and easy to get in tight places. The light is very adequate for working and the magnetic hook makes it easy to hang in different positions. I highly recommend this light!

Not only is it bright, but the ability to use the hook either on the end or the side really adds to its versatility. Crawling around under the house while trying to install some wiring, I found many situations where the light's versatility really helped. The movable hook, together with the flattened sides, allowed me to get light where I needed it. The same is true when working on the car. Highly recommended.

Had issues with the light after owning for a couple of months. It would go dim on a full charge and I would have to slap it for the lights to come back on. I called Bayco and they sent a replacement, no questions asked or proof of purchase requested.

So far I have only used this light for one job. I was doing a rear main seal and an intermediate shaft seal on a Carrera and this little guy stayed alive the whole time for its first use. Three hours of constant use and no dimming. they say the battery will get conditioned and will have a longer charge after several uses. My only complaint is that the hook feels slightly flimsy, but other than that this is a great light.Magnets are very strong and I have dropped it from about seven feet with zero damage. Convinced a couple guys in my shop to get one after that saw it.

Wonderful product. I use this light all the time and it has never let me down. I have had it on for extended periods of time without a loss of light. While this is not an inexpensive light, it is reliable and durabile (I have dropped it on many occasions) It charges quickly and can be kept with charger attached until needed.

This is the best drop light I have ever used, very bright and useful. It has everything I wanted, hangs horizontally and vertically and is rechargable. The light is very bright on both ends. I bought two of them.

I bought one of these lights years ago and I finally left it in someones house I was working on....Damn, I am lost without it so I'm buying another one.The switch acted up a few time so only the flashlight or the LED bar would work and I thought it was finished.I abused and used the thing and was happy with the time I got out of it.So I found it one day and turned it on and worked fine bright as ever so I found the charger and used and abused it for a long time before I lost it.I hope whoever finds it is smart enough to find a charger for it.It's a Great light.I never found it dead and only charged it spurratically sometimes on the charger along time and sometimes never.Well worth the money!

Sure it's cool because it's cordless, and the quality is OK, but when it comes right down to it, it will NOT outshine a good old light bulb. I've put them side by side for a comparison, and I was actually expecting the LED's to outshine the bulb after reading all the hype here. Well, it doesn't, and not only that, it's only as bright as it gets for maybe an hour. After that it just starts to get dim. So if you're at all like me and spend hours sometimes working on your vehicle or project or whatever, the last thing you want to have to put up with is dim lighting. This thing is good for easily getting it into somewhere for a quick look, but don't plan on using it as a light source for long job. It won't stay bright for long. The other thing is the two magnets on it, one on the tip and one on the side are good enough to hold it in place, but, they pick up everything magnetic there is around them, filings, rust, metal dust, etc, and about the only way to clean it off is with compressed air. You can NOT wipe it off. So, I'll keep it around just for the convenience to look at something and I need quick light, but I won't be using this on jobs. It's back to the drop light with a light bulb. The only kind of LED work light I'd consider now is one with a cord.

This is my second BAYCO 2166 light. The first one I purchased through a recommendation of a salesman at my last job. I liked the hook setup, having a magnet on the top and side so you can change angles. I also appreciated the smaller light that the worklight offers. Being able to use it like a traditional flashlight is great. The downfall of this light is not the LED's. They are bright. Bright enough to blind you if you aren't careful. The poor materials in the handle and sad battery life make this light just not quite good enough. My first light went through 2 switches and cracked the base after merely tipping over on the cement floor. I bought this again a year later hoping that the batteries and construction were better and I must say this one was worse than my first one. The switch is great, but the magnet on the back fell out while the light was hanging, causing the light to drop, The plastic body around the back magnet was poorly made and thin, and upon further investigation I noticed the plastic was very grainy and crumbly. Pretty sad that such a light unit doesn't use plastic strong enough to support it's feather weight.I wish there was something like this Bayco light that was just built better, with a battery that lasted more than an hour and a half. The size and balance are great and the LED's are bright, I am just disappointed in the build quality.

Light is great and very well made. It has a flash light mode and work mode. Lights up a room easily and has hanger attachment (with a magnet) that can be secured on two magnetic points to hang the light. It comes with a wall connector/charger AND a car connector/charger (cigarette lighter).5 stars.

This is one great tool! After charging I have used it frequently in the dark recesses of my boat. It illuminates the dark engine room extremely well and is small enough to manuvering in tight spaces. The flashlight end is brite enough to spotlight small spots. Lite weight, maneuverable and brite has made it my favorite illumination device. Recharging takes some time, 20-30 minutes. I have not used it till it dies but have used it for 60-90 without it dimming. A friend has the more expensive light saber ?? And it is bigger, cumbersome and no brighter! The holding magnets are very helpful and located in the right places.

I bought this due to its value proposition. I needed a mobile 'light wand' free on any plugs. This is perfect. It's very, very bright and will illuminate any garage, office, basement, crawlspace, whatever. Further, it has an estimated 8 hours of life per charge, and of course the LEDs aren't going to burn out.Best of all, it is cheaper than a lot of flashlights. You really can't beat this. If you need light, here it is.Cons: There is a big array of more traditional LEDs as opposed to using the newer, more expensive, super-bright LEDs. However, it generates *plenty* of light, so this hardly matters. In fact, the light is so bright, some may complain it isn't diffused by a cover of some type.

I would have given it 5 stars but I'm going to be overly critical and say that they should have used reflective materials behind the LEDS to make them preform even better. Magnet is good and strong enough to hold light. Base light is bright enough for working with but not for illuminating anything at distance. LED stack produces an excellent amount of working light.

A lot of these are made with bad switches. After some time (1 day for me) they will only work in one position, either the 60 LED wand will work or the 6 LED spotlight. The 60 LED wand on mine wouldn't turn on anymore, so I pulled it apart and resoldered the switch in backwards. Now the wand works fine but the 6 LED spotlight won't work, which I could care less about. Super bright light, just needs to be made with higher quality parts, that's all.
