very handy and really bright

the design is very good, and its bright only for a short time after it is charged then it becomes dimmer. Its unfortunate that its battery life is not as long as other similar types. Plus it takes much longer for it to get fully charged.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift to be used at work. He works into the night and i thought this would be perfect and he would be able to see much better. Unfortunately, only after about using 10 times and fully charges it is so dim. Really disappointed for the price I had hoped it would have at lasted the year. Since I ordered early I can not even exchange.

Been using this light regularly in my welding shop for the past year to inspect my welds and illuminate the work area. Things i love about it. Small, lightweight, bright (when fully charged or plugged in), stick design is good for getting into tight places. My MAJOR gripes about the light are that the supplied charger and it's cable are a joke. My laptop charger has a thicker cable than this work light. I already went through one charger and i plan on going through others in the future. The charge cable is just too thin for ANY type of construction or automotive use and i take very good care of my tools. Also, the light is extremely bright when fully charged. Let's say it gives 100% light output after full charge or when plugged in, within 30minutes of constant use on battery power you are already operating with a dim light at say 50% of its original output. This sucks! I thought 3 hour runtime would be with 100% light output. Not 100% for 5 minutes and then downhill from there. If i had to do it over, i would have bought the corded version of this light. There are much better alternatives out there from this same company now that ive done the research. GET THE CORDED VERSION

I would not get this again. Like the concept. The light is bright for about an hour and then it drops about 50% in brightness about an hour after being on. It's more useful if you have a power outage at the home and need a light source. This one, even though it was dim ran well over 9 hours. Not good for working on a car but ok for home use.

3 LED bulbs was out on second days usea month later cover break off with one drop to the floor. light itself is good.still working after 4 monthslast about 2-3 hours full charge

I was excited to get this, it seemed better than many of the other units on the market and I do like the hooks and magnets.The big disappointment is the battery life. From a full charge, it becomes nearly useless within an hour.Maybe I got a dud but the cheap $20 units I picked up at Sears are proving far better in terms of producing light.

Worked for about a year, provided bright light, but then abruptly quit working. However, the rear taillight continues to work.

Been using this regularly for a few months now. While the light is bright and impressive the battery is very disappointing. After charging over night and using it the next morning I can barely get two hours out of the light before it's dim and worthless, and it's not on for a straight couple of hours I turn it off while I grab more tools or do something else. very disappointed

Ok light battery wont last the day when using it ,takes hrs to fully recharge.I do like the magnets they come n very handy at times

This light was great until the main light stopped working after less than a month. Not sure what the problem is but its going back!

light is really bright but switch went bad & now does not take a charge. not a good product . won't buy another.

This is my second BAYCO 2166 light. The first one I purchased through a recommendation of a salesman at my last job. I liked the hook setup, having a magnet on the top and side so you can change angles. I also appreciated the smaller light that the worklight offers. Being able to use it like a traditional flashlight is great.The downfall of this light is not the LED's. They are bright. Bright enough to blind you if you aren't careful. The poor materials in the handle and sad battery life make this light just not quite good enough. My first light went through 2 switches and cracked the base after merely tipping over on the cement floor. I bought this again a year later hoping that the batteries and construction were better and I must say this one was worse than my first one. The switch is great, but the magnet on the back fell out while the light was hanging, causing the light to drop, The plastic body around the back magnet was poorly made and thin, and upon further investigation I noticed the plastic was very grainy and crumbly. Pretty sad that such a light unit doesn't use plastic strong enough to support it's feather weight.I wish there was something like this Bayco light that was just built better, with a battery that lasted more than an hour and a half. The size and balance are great and the LED's are bright, I am just disappointed in the build quality.

Bought this and was impressed by how bright it was. Not sure if the battery is defected but it would begin to die out if left on for more than ten minutes.

This product worked for a month. It was really good. Very bright. One day the light started to dim/Flicker and the the man light quite.
