Causes: Environment, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection

Mission: To understand, protect and restore the environment and waters of bear lake and to assure that the interests of the public at large are represented and served in the allocation and utilization thereof.

Programs: Hosted an informational booth at raspberry days festival in garden city utah to inform citizens about issues regarding bear lake; attended meetings throughout the watershed to represent bear lake issues; distributed a seasonal newsletter to over 1000 members & interested partiesmaintain a website to inform citizens of bear lake issues; facilitated the science and research team to direct new research and data collection on bear lake. Held a fundraising golf tournament to support the research. Participated with bear river commission on upper bear river tour. Participated in us fish & wildlife wetlands reviewrepresent bear lake interests at rich county crm, idaho brbag, utah prig groupsmonitored utah natural resources committees and water development commissionhosted idaho legislature ais working group for meetings at bear lakeworked with the lake-front landholders, state lands and the co-op weed management for the eradication of phragmites in utah & idaho. Worked with bear lake neighbors and their shoreline councils regarding their local lake-side areas. Partnered with utah & idaho land conservation trusts to help promote conservation of open spaces around the bear lake valley.
