I was in despair before I ordered the Smart Shaker 3; I have very serious hearing loss, use a CPAP machine, and I seem to need about 9 hours of sleep a night. I was sleeping through all the alarms on my phone, even when I was holding it to feel the vibrations. Alarm clocks have to be set to ear-damaging decibels to make a dent in my sleep time, and that wakes me up with an adrenaline rush and a pounding heart. Not a good way to start the day.The Smart Shaker 3 is extremely easy to set up and I had high hopes that I'd found a solution. It allows me to set multiple alarms and set snooze intervals. I can also indicate which day or days of the week I want that particular alarm to go. I chose the vibration level, and also decided not to get a quick vibration as a notification of a text or email. A benefit of this alarm is that, once it's charged, it can go cordless for up to a week. I have a 3 day travel plan coming upand I can take my wonderful alarm with me!(I should mention that the Smart Shaker 3 goes underneath the pillow. I didn't feel it through the pillow until the alarm went off, nor did the vibration cause the alarm to move noticeably. In future, though, I think I'll tuck it into my pillowcase just to make sure I don't lose it!)I set alarms every 15 minutes starting at 8 am until noon; that's what I'd been doing with my phone. This morning I woke up with the first alarm.and stayed awake! I am so impressed, and so grateful to have found the Smart Shaker 3. (I know I sound like a sales person but I was so worried about my 4 am-1 pm sleep “schedule”, and tired of failing efforts to fix it.)
