I will admit that I was hesitant about using a nailer without a compressor. But oh my. This thing has done the job. No more carting around my compressor to flip houses. Woo hoo. Gathered other Porter Cable tools during cyber week. Or day. I only keep my fingers crossed for a lightweight miter saw to join the club.

I've been wanting a brad nailer for a while but wasn't crazy about buying both the nailer AND a big, noisy air compressor to power it. This guy obviates the need for the big noisy. Since I already own other P-C tools, I'm good to go on compatible batteries.First one shot about 20 nails before it locked up, but a replacement unit has driven 150 nails with no problem. No big deal having to get a replacement any mfr is gonna have the occasional dud.Would buy again. I love my P-C tools.

Shoots in even the longer brads without any problems. The battery lasts a long time. I like it. I don't do tons of brad nailing but it will be easier to do more without having to drag out a compressor any more.

So I like the Porter Cable brand. As a retired finish carpenter I have used their corded tools for years and they held up in a commercial environment. I can't speak to the longevity of this particular nailer, but it does feel right to me. When I was working, I had another brand that cost twice as much and was 3x as large. It was handy, because I didn't have to unload an air compressor and hose for base-over after the tile or whatever was installed. The 18 gauge sized pin (nails) is kind of new to me, but I have shot 19 gauge through it. I think for small homeowner jobs, like repairs to crown and trim on cabinets (that's me now) it's ideal. I also have their sawsall but it didn't come with a battery so I bought this to get the battery for both. Pretty impressed and I am not surprised. Good luck!

I tried another competitive orange brand and had to return it because 50 of the time it would misfire or not fire at all. Bought this Porter cable as a replacement and have not had a singe misfire. Highly recomended if you are onn a budget.

I have been doing home repairs and have been using an air nailer. The air tool is fast, but not convenient for small jobs as it takes longer to drag out the compressor and air hose than it does to drop the nails. This little beast is nice. Not as fast as an air tool, but much easier to use for 90 of what i use a brad nailer for. The weight balance is good. Although it is heavier than its air powered cousin, there is no air hose to get in the way when you are holding it above your head. The LED lights are a nice touch.

Easy to use and change brad lengths. Battery power last for long time and very portable (better than hauling compressor around). Great for various types of trim.

Great tool to add to any workmans collection. Extremely handy when you don't want to drag a compressor or 50 ft. of hose out. Works great. Even has a blinking light feature to let you know a nail is jammed. Well worth the money.

Purchased for my DIYs and it is doing the job beyond perfect. Do not hesitate, the others with cheaper price will not do the job

First nail gun purchase. I can really get more done when I'm not trying to hold tiny trim nails with my hands. Its a really great deal.

I have been extremely pleased with this nail gun.If any one is having issues with it, it is most likely due to user error or they are using very hard wood. You have to make sure to hold the gun tight and firm when pulling the trigger. The mechanism will try to jolt your grip if you are holding it loosely.

Love that it's easy to use and doesn't require air compression. I'm 5'1 petite size and it's a tad heavy. Wish it was a little lighter but other than that, it works well.

I never leave reviews! This is an exception- by far! This nail gun is all the good stuff! Say goodbye to air nail guns forever! It's so easy to use, quiet, and so easy to clear a jam when it has one- which isn't often! If I could give this ten stars, I would!
