Just got mine last weekend, there is hardly anything to setup, charge the battery, insert the right nail strip and its good to go. There seems to be enough safety features, reasonably priced, and seems to be well constructed. The only thing to be mindful of is its almost 6 lbs in weight, which is about the same as other cordless nailer (Craftsman is about 5.5lbs) but still a useful consideration. There is no battery level indicator on the battery itself, you've to pay attention to the led lights on the tool itself. Can't really speak to how long the battery lasts, there seems to mixed reviews about it.

This is a real nice pin Nailer I drove pins into hardwood with ease just wish they made a 1/4 Crown stapler as I would buy one of those as well.

I recently got into cordless brad nailers. I have all of the pneumatic nailers but dragging 100 ft of hose around was never fun and sometimes the project was still unreachable. When I had to work in a precarious position on roof trim, I decided, for safety reasons to go cordless. I got a good deal on a Ryobi cordless crown stapler, and I already had the batteries, so I got it. It's not bad but not impressive enough to buy the brad nailer, so I tried this Porta Cable. This nailer works great. Sinks the nails perfectly even with surface every time. It also has a belt hook built in that makes holding this tool easy and secure. The only unknown factor is the battery. I have shot about 100 nails and the battery is still going strong. The question is what shape will the battery be in after a year or two, only time will tell.

I thought about getting an air free Nailer and after doing research decided on this model. I cannot say enough great things to say, other than GET THIS! This gun is charged via battery that charges quickly and uses various size nails. It works fantastic, I am just sorry that I didn't buy this years ago. I use it around the house both inside and out and it has never failed me. It is powerful and has a feature to determine how far below the surface you want the head. Highly recommended

I've been looking for a brad nailer for quite some time now and came across this one in the price range I was comfortable with. So glad I bought it! I've been doing light construction/upgrades at my daughters house and this tool works perfectly for what I need. It also compliments the Porter Cable portable drill I've been using for 15 years. Not sure why so many negative reviews. I think people get confused between a Brad gun, and a Nail gun. If you need something heavy duty this is not the tool you're looking for. If you're doing light work/finishing work around the house, this gun is perfect! Saved me hours of manual labor!!

This is the 12th nail gun I've owned for my woodworking shop and one of the worst. I purchased it because I have the rest of the drills, drivers, sawsall, etc tools from Porter-Cable. But this is so disappointing, I cannot tell you.I've tried a variety of brands including Porters own, still, it gets stuck.Beyond disappointed, by another brand.

Very happy with this purchase! It does everything I want it to. And does this all at about half the price of the leading brands! I am a black and yellow fan all the way but I felt I couldn't justify the 300-400 price tag. So I tried out the porter cable brand and I love it so much I bought the jigsaw the next day!

1st off make sure you look at nailer nail gauges, this one handles up to 18 gauge which is pretty good for trim work, some only handle 20 gauge and 16 gauge hard to find. Now on to the PC nailer. This is of course larger than air driven units and slightly heavier. We have used this now for about 1 month and must say - out goes our older air driven nailer. While a little heavier has a very balanced feel so could use all day long. On to the features - has all the normal controls and de jamming features. We found that the nail depth adjustment was great and fairly accurate. There are more safety interlocks than normal, if you get a jam (not often) you have to shut the unit off, remove battery than fix the jam and reinstall battery. After heavy use from trim work this thing never jammed! - I was prepared for the worst however very pleased with performance. As long as you install the nails or the brads correctly don't think you will not have an issue. (we only used the PC nails and brads not sure how other brands will work)Pros:Includes battery and charger!Battery last a long timefast cycle between nailsGood balanceNice featuresCons: nothing so far

I bought this for making easy work of trim around the floor and it works great. Simple, lightweight and flawless. Easy to use. Great for trim of all kinds and also doing walls with thin washed out barn boards.
