I have weak ankles soI bought these boots. I'm on my 4th pair! I love these boots! And I've paid pretty much the same price these past 8 years, about $75. I wear the soles so there is no nubes left. I obviously will buy these again and again

Nice pair of boots great fit great price.

The boots are falling apart after less than a year. The sole is separating from the leather. I didn't even wear them over the winter so they only have a few months of wear on them really.I am very disappointed.

Husband says they fit good and are easy to get on and off. Works in construction and when he hast to be on a roof they have a good grip.

These fit my 10.5 mens foot as expected and are nice boots for the money. I have warn them for many hunting trips with my dogs for pheasant and deer hunting solo. They are nice and well made. The uppers are a little stiff and will wear you out a bit due to the lack of flexibility in the shank. Also, if you have large ankes or wide feet the zipper can be a bit tight to close. The only major problem I have had with these boots is wetness and water. I sealed these very carefully when I go them using top of the line sealants from 3M. Depsite this my feet get wet when I walk in wet grass while hunting. I will not even think about walking across water with them. They are neither water resistant nor are they water proof even after careful treatment. Forget snow as well. I line in Minnesota and just a short walk in the snow and your feet are wet. Even after treatment of the materials and seems. They are just not designed to repel or seal against even the lightest of wet conditions. I would say these are average (3 out of 5) for the price.

same type boots I wore in the service, now use them to ride my Bike. BATES has always had the best quality for the money. Last normally a season close to a year.

lite weight, fit as expected. zipper is to short for easy entry, boot is to light weight for us big guys. if you like tennis shoe type boots, you might like this one

I ordered size 11 extra wide waterproof boots, but they don't feel like they're extra wide.Arch support was non-existent, but I expected that. I replaced the insoles with brand 10 Second 3030 pressure relief with metatarsal pads. (Used to be called: New Balance insoles)I work as a dishwasher wanted these to keep my feet dry. Found out the hard way that they're not waterproof bc my feet were soaked today. Will have to go back to using 4gal trash bags inside my boots. When my feet get wet, they ache badly.I do like the side zipper to get them on/off don't have to keep re-tying the shoe strings.

This is my second pair of this model from Bates and I am very happy with them!

I've been buying this exact pair of boots for five years now. They last on average six months, but considering I do a lot of walking at work, it's impressive. The side zipper make the boots nice to remove in a hurry.

Very comfortable and they fit my wide feet comfortably. I wear orthotics and there's still plenty of room. True to size.
