Looks super fancy, but very lightweight. I don't enjoy wearing dangling earrings because they often pull and become uncomfortable after a while. These are light enough that I didn't even notice them. I think they're actually plastic,but they look great and work well with my belly dance outfit.

Don’t expect much. You get what you pay for and this is essentially costume jewelry.The quality control isn’t very good. By that I mean that when I first inspected the item, it appeared that two circular disks were “missing”. As I looked more closely, I saw that there were two circular disks used to replace two little bells on the end of rows that actually were missing.And I won’t be surprised if the disks turn black as other reviewers have stated.So if you’re just looking for a quick accessory (which is my case), that you don’t expect to really last, then this might be an inexpensive option. Otherwise, look for better quality.
