First time for this brand of coat. I am a 60 year old man who has worked outside all my life. So i am a pro when it comes to durability and staying warm. This coat is 2 THUMBS UP.

My husband is working outside a lot this winter with his job, and New England winters tend to get pretty cold. Between this jacket and his thermals, he hasn't complained once about the cold since he got it, which is exactly what I got it for. The material is sturdy and perfect for the work he does. He says the fit is comfortably loose and leaves him room to move freely, but isn't so baggy that it gets in the way. I ended up choosing Berne over Carhartt primarily because of the price, and secondarily because of the number of positive reviews. Coincidentally, my father also has a Berne work jacket and couldn't recommend the brand enough. He's been impressed with the quality and warmth and how well it's held up over the last several years. We will be buying Berne outerwear from now on!

This is a very nice jacket. It is well made and resembles a cathartic jacket at a fraction of the price. I got the large, but I should have gotten an Xtra large or a large tall. It still fits very nice, but I like mine a little bit longer.
