Betsileo Development was organized with the exclusive intent of improving the living conditions of those in need.
Our first objective is to assist the residents in the Ambalavao area of Madagascar by building a pump system and pipeline from the river to the village and a water treatment facility.
Water is currently carried by hand from the river - approximately 1/2 mile from the village. This makes agricultural production difficult, contributing to extreme poverty and undernourishment. Additionally, the water system currently provides drinking water for the villagers and the livestock. The water is untreated and poses a serious health risk.
