Mission: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas (BBBSCC) helps more than 1,500 children each year through professionally supported, one-on-one mentoring relationships with caring adult volunteers. BBBSCC serves children in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and York counties
BBBSCC offers a variety of programs that provide one-to-one mentoring to children from kindergarten through high school. Our largest group of matches are "community-based." Our site-based programs include workplace and school-based mentoring, targeting specific age groups and stages of academic development.
Children who are mentored by a Big Brother or Big Sister are less likely to engage in risky behaviors and more likely to graduate from high school. 99% of our "Littles" avoided the juvenile justice system in 2016-17.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 2001, and donations are tax-deductible.
