This fit my 30 year old Delta 14' with a little filing of the non-commercial square nut provided. I had long ago forgotten how easily this crank should work. Keep your replacement well greased or oiled.

By The metal is soft, garbage after several weeks of use.

The metal is soft and the threads start stripping off and get caught in the nut rendering it useless after some use. Save your money for something better

I wore out the stock adjustment screw on my JET band saw through lots of use. The threads basically gave up and the whole thing bound up causing me to not be able to adjust tension OR change blades easily. The Big Horn tension crank is just what the doctor ordered. A perfect fit and easy to install, it does the job more quickly and easily than the old screw did. I'll keep this one better lubed and hope for a longer life than the original.

Easy to install, unscrew the old knob, hold onto the nut and washer, install the new crank down threw the spring, washer, and nut. Comes with extra nuts to fit your brand of bandsaw. Should have replaced it years ago.

Based on my initial experience, this is a great upgrade - easy to install and the top crank is so much easier to use than the factory tension knob on my Jet JWBS-14CS bandsaw. I was a little nervous about installing it because my kit did NOT come with instructions, nor could I find any online (I found one video but it was for a different bandsaw). I'm always concerned about something falling out or going flying that wasn't supposed to, but this ended up being very straight forward. I just turned the old tension knob counterclockwise until the nut fell out the bottom of the tension spring housing, then lifted the old knob and rod out. The spring slipped down in its housing, but it was no problem to insert the new tension rod into place and through the spring. I lifted the spring enough to start the black nut onto the rod, and turned the crank clockwise while guiding the nut into the tension spring housing. Since the spring is still the same, I assume the tension guide on the housing is still correct for the new rod and crank I think that was all I needed to do. Because there were no instructions, I'm still not sure what, if anything for my saw, I was supposed to do with the second nut, the silver one. Since only one nut was used on my factory adjustment system, I just used the one large, black nut with the Big Horn tension rod and crank. Note to Big Horn: some of us out here like and read instructions - please include. I lubricated the threads on the new tension rod and the nut (inside and out) with a dry lube spray, hoping it won't attract dust like a conventional lube would. And promise that I will re-lube the rod threads, nut and crank handle periodically. FYI, the Big Horn rod and nut threads are a different size than the Jet factory threads in my case, so the nuts will not interchange. I don't see the need for an expensive tension release lever type system now that I've tried the Big Horn system. Get one - you will love it!

I used this product on my 12 Jet Bandsaw. It worked just fine even tho the description says it is for a 14 bandsaw.

I did a few upgrades on my 14” Delta band saw including a Cobra Coil spring, new tires and the Big Horn tension crank. I considered getting a level type tensioner but really couldn't justify the $150 . Frankly I wondered if the crank handle on the Big Horn was really going to be a worthwhile improvement over the stock Delta knob/wheel tensioner. Be assured, the Big Horn is a Big improvement over the stock Delta mechanism. Couple quick turns one way or the other to release or restore tension is all it takes. Here's a tip. Count the number of turns necessary to just relieve tension. It won't take many turns of the handle, don't over do it. The same number of turns the other way will restore proper tension and your blade should align with the blade guides I'd definitely buy the Big Horn again.

This fit my Jet JWBS-14CS band saw. It works far better than the original adjustment knob. I love the ease of turning which will make changing blades much faster. Thanks for a superior product.

Replaced worn tension crack on my father's 14 JET bandsaw without any problems. Replacement of the new part was simple once I was able to remove the old one. The threads were worn on the original it was a bit difficult to remove. Im guessing the bandsaw is about 20 years old and it was never replaced. I did spray dry lubricant on the new crank, like other suggested. Operates smoothly! So far so good.

I bought this for my older Jet bandsaw so that I could easily take the tension off of my blades. This was a cheaper option than buying (or making) a quick release. I can easily unwind using this crank four rotations, then when I need the saw I can add back the four rotations to get back to the proper tension. Easy to reach from the front of the saw.

The crank handle itself is plastic, but well-made and it should outlive me. Machined rod is perfect.

This was a simple install and improved my life in my shop significantly. It was a great fit on my old Rigid bandsaw and I find myself using the saw even more because it's so easy to tension and release tension on my blades.

This is a replacement. Original lasted a few years. Steel should be stronger. Value compared to alternatives superior.
