Never did find the source of a chemical odor in my pickup, but it was sickening and persisted for months. Airing it for days in the sun and thoroughly scrubbing everything did nothing -- the smell kept coming back.Let this stuff percolate per the instructions overnight.Done! Works as advertised.

My new to me car has a strong perfume odor, followed instructions, slightly reduced the odor but it still smells like perfume.

When I added water to the packet the smell was that of garden variety chlorine bleach. i followed all the instructions and the result was the replacement of the vermin odor in my car with the smell of chlorine. That certainly was an improvement but the vermin odor has come back after less than two weeks. This was pricey for what it did, though it did help some.

Absolutely incredible product. I used it overnight. The next morning there was a strong chlorine scent, but the smoke smell was gone. So I opened the doors and ran the A/C on recirc for 20 minutes. Then I drove it in the afternoon with the windows down for 20 minutes. The smell was gone. I will be using this again. WOW!

I left it in an enclosed landcruiser that smelled funky with smoke etc. 3 days later, smells were gone.

Our rescue dog peed in my wife's brand new car. Even though we have a seat cover that caught most of it and we cleaned the faux leather seats there was a very strong ammonia sink for a week before I bought this. It completely removed the smell. There was a slight lingering bleach smell that went away after a day. Overall it was totally worth the price.

I would recommend this to anyone wanting to rid a car of cigarette sell. It was like magic and so easy. Not a trace of nasty smell left.

My daughter's car that we bought used had a horrible pet odor in it and the dealer cleaned the carpets and it got a little better. Then we clean the cabin air filter and it was a little better but still triggers for allergies here we use the shock treatment and it went away completely and she has no allergic reaction to the pet that had been in the car previously. This is a wonderful product I'm shocked LOL

Works great to get the smoke smell out of the car, I did have to use a 2nd one after it started to warm up outside and seems to have worked. Does leave the car smelling like a pool but it was way better than the smoke smell.

I am not much in reviews, but I can tell you the stuff worked fantastic, I purchased a vehicle from a senior citizen with very low mileage however this person was a hoarder the interior was in great condition but let me tell you the smell was unbelievable, I tried baking soda, vinegar, charcoal bags, steam clean seats and carpets and still the smell was present, but after using this product I activated it and left it in for 24 hours and absolutely no more smell at all I would definitely recommend this product or I would buy it again if needed, there was a smell of chlorine for a day or two but eventually went away.

I ordered this product after trying everything under the sun to remove a terrible smell from a car (forgotten gallon of milk in the trunk 3 weeks in the sun). After using a dozen different products the car smelled a little like all of them which was almost worse than the original odor. This far outperformed anything I tried (including hours with an ozone machine) and the residual smell is clean and not overly chemical. It DOES NOT explode if you follow the directions. I used it in a 55 degree garage without direct sunlight for just 4 hours and the smells were gone. I wish I had found this 6 months ago.

I inherited a 29 yr old suburban that is in good shape but the previous owner smoked and had dogs. I carpet cleaned three times, used charcoal for six months, and other products. This was my last ditch effort, and while it’s not like a new car, it was by far the most effective. READ THE DIRECTIONS: any reviews about the bag popping are related to customers NOT breaking apart the packet inside, it needs to be loose pellets otherwise the potential energy of the chemical reaction causes it to pop.

I cannot believe how awesome this is at taking out cigarette smoke! Usually the smells lingers, but I followed directions and used this and ZERO odor!I bought a newer used car with low miles and the previous owner was a smoker and I didn’t realize it because the fumes from the poly steel that were done stayed in the truck a few days , SO glad this worked so well!

Best value for the money. I tried other products from auto stores. This one worked the best. Took the smoke smell completely out. But took a long time to arrive.
