I purchased this pump for a Bissell 1671 Big Green Clean Machine canister style vacuum because someone asked above if the pump would fit the 1671 and was given yes as the answer. It definitely is NOT the same pump. This pump is larger, has two pump outputs instead of one and has an additional wiring connection (for a ground wire). I got it to work by capping off the output furthest from the pump so that output could never release fluid, using the existing clips to clip the pump in place, and using new rubber hoses and clamps to connect the pump input and output to the input hose with the filter and the output connector which has threads for the long cleaning solution hose. Additionally, I made a wire to connect the pump's ground tab to the 1671's ground screw and made extension wires to extend the pump connections. The neutral wire goes closest to the ground tab and the black power lead goes furthest from the ground tab. You'll have to arrange the pump at an odd angle (not flat) to get the hoses to fit and to be able to put the 1671's lid back on. The pump twists in its clips so you can find the correct positioning. So....if you're handy, comfortable around 120v wiring, and are willing to buy hose and clamps from the hardware store, you can make it work. Be careful with the 1671's plastic parts, they are old and may break when worked on, requiring more creativity on your part. If you can't get the 1671's round cover (the one with the 2 switches) off, I found a youtube video and comments which helped with that. There are 4 areas on the bottom of the cover which must be pried a little bit away from the vacuum to unhook the round cover from the vacuum. I've only used my 1671 once since this repair, but it worked perfectly. The fluid spray from the floor wand seemed like new.

Model 86T3: Assumed the pump was bad. Turns out, it was the solenoid valve located next to the pump.
