The shapes are so odd...and the hardness of them is way too hard for me to break them in half by hand. This is an issue because one of the cats just swallows them, so, I have to lightly crush them before I give them to her. Otherwise, all my cats love their flavor. It would be so much better if the shape was easier for the cats to pick them up off the floor. They would be easier to break up instead of having to smash them..

Very pleased with the brand overall, especially the Wilderness products. I like that I can use these to add small amounts of beef and liver to my cat's healthy indoor diet, and he loves them. Unfortunately he tends to swallow them whole, so he is not getting the benefit of the burst and it worries me that this habit could cause him physical problems. I actually had the same issue with a different brand's similar, soft-middle treat. However, they had the insight to start making their treat in two sizes, with one being larger than the standard. I tried these with my cat and it was effective, with the larger pieces giving him pause to chew it before swallowing, but I am not so happy with that brand in general or their ingredients. I also give him another brand's fully soft treats which are larger and he chews those as well. SO...I like this brand but I wish they would offer these treats in a larger size. Otherwise I will not be purchasing more for my cat.

All we have to say is “Augustine, want treats?” and be comes a runnin’ as fast as he can! This is handy as Gus loves to take his sweet time coming in from outside. I keep them in the refrigerator or freezer which I imagine keeps them fresher as he will break into the cabinet to seek them out otherwise! He also seems to like the coolness as an added benefit! Gus is prone to idiopathic cystitis despite the fact that he is the chillest cat ever. Our Doc said higher protein foods were thought to be beneficial in prevention of the condition. These treats have a higher protein content than most. I like to think they are a healthier option.

My own finicky feline loves these, as do the 2 semi-feral neighborhood moochers that I occasionally treat. I can't vouch for the taste personally, but I do like the nice container with the tight-fitting lid that keeps the marauding meowsers from helping themselves.

I feel like my cat didn't quite get the whole “burst” experience seeing as how she swallowed them whole but she still seemed to enjoy them!
