The blanket was easy to customize to fit our pool but there ens the positives. Less than 1 year after purchase today I found out the the blanket is breaking apart, literally. Im starting to see blue bits in the skimmer and now is forced to remove and find another solution. Maybe saltwater and the Texas sun is too much to ask for but there were no mentioning restricting the blanket for such use.Not recommended.

Delivery was super quick, size exact (width) a little extra length to customize. Appears to be of good quality, but we will know more about that over the next few years. Very happy with this product.

Get ready for some heavy lifting because this cover is HEAVY! Getting it in and out of the pool requires two strong individuals. That being said, the heaviness does keep it in place during strong winds. The temperature easily increased by four degrees in a matter of hours. It also keeps my pool clean. It's definitely worth it. Just keep in mind that you will need a pool cover reel and the attachments that come with it or else you will get soaked trying to fold it out of your pool. Also, plan for a place to store it while it's not in use because it can make your lawn look like a hoarders house.

Installed this cover in September 2021 and it's already falling apart after 9 months. The cover was on the pool during the less harsh winter months and on a reel when temporarily removed for cleaning. Disappointed to have to replace this already. Waste of money. Don't buy.

12Ft. wide at one end and 12Ft. 6 at the other end and my pool is 12' X 20' and it is 21 Ft. long. I ordered a 12' X 20' solar cover which I also thought it would be heavy duty at 12 mill and was I wrong on that also. Poorest quality I have every had for a solar cover in over 20 years, Thin, light weight and not even close for 12' x 20'. Made in Canada maybe their metric system doesn't work for the US when they can't even make something as simple as 12' wide and 20' long at both ends. My pool measures 12' X 20' plus at most 1/4 total not 12'6 X 21' when you order 12' X 20 that is what you should get along with Quality weight since it is 12mill thick not 17 lbs. total for that big of a solar cover.

I bought this in Spring, hoping we could warm up the pool for some visitors. We live in So Cal and the daytime temps were 75-80. Nights were 60-65. Pool temp was 65. In five days with the pool cover, water temps were 77 and everyone was swimming!It was easy to trim to size, even with our almond shaped pool. We cut it in half so it is easier to take off. At full length, it was a hassle to fold it up and pull it out, even with two people. Our pool fence and pool shape prevents us from buying a rolling device.Just be careful with algae. Both me and a friend ended up with algae after two weeks with the cover on. I think it's probably due to the spike in temps without careful balance of chemicals. This is tricky because our pool guy recommended taking off the cover for two days after adding chlorine. But that reduces the benefits of heating. Good luck with that part!

I am not sure if I ordered the wrong one, because it was so big. However, I was able to trim it perfectly for my size pool.The difference is amazing, instead of running my pool heater I was able to leave this on and the sun heated my pool even faster. When using the heat pump it will usually heat 1 degree per hour, but I put the blanket on and used the heater and it heated 5 degrees in 45 minutes.Now with the temps getting warmer. the blanket is really warming up the pool without the heater.

I'm going to repurchase this solar blanket as the one I purchased in 2017 finally had to be discarded due to normal wear and tear. I'm in the Northeast and it definitely raised and kept the temperature about 10 -15 degrees higher. I believe pool temperature go up as high as 86 degrees during the hottest summer days.

Cover really does help, keeps pool at least several degrees warmer than not using one. this makes a difference over time in energy costs. Bought a roller to help with easy roll-up and covering.

immediately improved temperature retention and significantly reduces evaporation.pretty challenging to pull off such a big cover and store neatly without a roller... still worth it

I had to replace my 2-yr old cover - was shedding plastic dots. This new cover is a bit lighter weight than the old one but works fine. Good price - value for what it is designed to do.

It raised the temp in our pool substantially. My heater only runs half the time now. It will pay for itself in a couple months with the savings.

Do not buy!! This thing is paper thin. I've always used 12 mil covers, and this is no where near the thickness of my old cover. No where on the packaging does it even say it's 12 mil. I've had this thing on the pool in 100 degree weather for the whole month of August. Took it off and the pool is icy cold. Our old cover had to be removed every couple days because the pool would get too hot. Supposed to have a 5 year guarantee, but I doubt it will even last a year. It comes from Leslie Pool, so it's just another of their over priced rip-offs. Run, run, run away from this product!!!!!UPDATE: Only 5 weeks after purchase a 6x6 inch area near the seam is already falling apart. I contacted Blue Wave, but they will only honor the guarantee if I give them another $58. $200 bucks for a cover that only lasted 5 weeks. Total rip-off.
