Has helped to reduce the amount of water we need to refill the pool since it doesn't let the water evaporates as quickly as it use to. Also, warms the water to 80 - 90 degrees depending on the hot weather. If it gets too warm for your taste, just leave the cover off for one or two days and it will cool down 5 degrees or so, again depends on the weather where people live.

Works great and kept my pool 8-10 degrees warmer without any use of my heater over the summer. Pool was up to 90 degrees and allowed us to use our pool more often than we would have without as it would have been too chilly at times. Get the Solar Roller with this product if you don't want a huge roller at the end of your pool.

Works great! I get about 5 - 10 degrees warmer because of it, but I have to always keep it on when pool is not in use and it is a bit heavy.

Nice and thick. I can easily cover my pool by myself. It just spreads open. Unfortunately it does not warm the water as well as the blue one. Not even close!!! Nice quality but I wish I bought the blue one.

After just over one season it started to break apart leaving plastic in our pool, tearing, and causing a serious mess. We live in northern California, so weather can be warm, but this solar blanket died much sooner than any other blank we've owned (and was more expensive too). Our chlorine levels were checked weekly, so usual chemical levels are not to blame.

It did not last a full two seasons. We only used it at the beginning and end of summer for about a month each (I didn't bother with it during winter because we weren't using the pool anyway). Now if we use it, the pool will have lots of little pieces of plastic bubbles that need to be fished out. I checked the Blue Wave website for warranty info and found this: "Registration is required in order to claim warranty coverage. Please complete and mail this card within 30 days of purchase". I didn't know about that fine print and did not register, so the warranty is useless, I also think it's probably safe to assume that even if you register, it won't be easy to return for their prorated $ amount. If the supposed 6 year warranty sounds good to you I suggest reading the fine print on their site. The cover does help keep the pool warm, especially from losing heat overnight. I assume that any clear cover will work as well though. It looks like the trick is to find one that doesn't need to be replace every single summer.

Heavy duty and doesn't seem to break down as quickly as lighter weight covers. Helps keep the pool a bit cleaner and warms it enough in our mild winters to use the pool without supplemental heating.

Nice solar cover. Actually it came about 4" too wide. I could easily cut it but both sides are finished so I am going to leave it.

Received order days before it was due in. (Thanks Prime!) Was a bit of a pain to roll out onto my pool, but it's doing an excellent job already. I did a lot of research before settling on a clear solar cover. I could feel the warm water swirling around when I peeled it off after letting it heat up for a few hours on a full sunny day. I did just get this cover in. I will update this review on it's quality after this season is over.<br />Also need to invest in a solar blanket reel. What a pain in the butt it is to pull this off to go swimming! That's no fault of this product though. It does what it's meant to do.

Over the years I've purchased several solar covers. This unit that I bought is clear, 14mil. 20x44. The quality of this cover is exceptional. We've used it now for over a month. It lays flat and actually covers side to side of the pool and no gaps. We had to make cuts to conform to the shape of the pool and cutting was easy. This is the first year using clear and it does appear to heat the pool faster. This cover really rolls up very cleanly, not sure if it's the thickness, or the quality but I don't get uneven lumpy rolls while taking it off, While it does have a 5 year prorated warranty, I've never had covers last that long due to sun, chemical and winter storage but I know this will give me a good 3 years. I found the price exceptional. Photo shows water on cover, it just rained.

This has been used for a couple of months and keeps the pool cleaner and only takes a few minutes to fold up. The pool temp has gone up 8-10 degrees once it was installed in 2 weeks. It will extend the pool usage for much more of the year. For only around $100, how could anyone say it is not a good idea.

We bought this pool cover on a trial run because we had heard the clear covers don't heat up the water like a blue cover. Well they're wrong. This cover does an amazing job and we will definitly be buying another one if and when this cover wears out! !

Heated the pool 10 degrees over 9 day period. I do live in Florida so the March/April sun is starting to get warmer. Perfect for the early season months to make the water a comfortable 80 degrees.<br />It is the thicker material and good size for peanut shaped pool.
