Mission: Founded in 1919, Braille Institute is committed to eliminating barriers to a fulfilling life caused by blindness and severe sight loss. Programs include a nationally recognized library serving blind and disabled individuals, a publishing house, child development services, youth programs, low vision rehabilitation services, adult education programs and an ongoing effort to promote Braille literacy throughout the United States.
