I got the device to check how wide I should order shoes to accommodate a bunion. I needed to watch a video to learn that the appropriate width is based on arch length rather than foot length. I still have a problem, though its not an issue with the Brannock device. Wide shoes (2E) turned out to be too wide in the heel because the overall shoe is wider, not just the toe box. Stretching D's sideways seems to work better than heel inserts on wide shoes, though custom made shoes would be ideal. Maybe individual shoe manufacturers have solved this dilemma. It would be nice to have heel width measures on shoes and Brannock devices.

This is great for getting kids foot sizes before going to stores or ordering in line. Also helps to see if shoes are too small and the new size needed. Works just like the one in store but without wondering about whether it was clean and whos foot was on it last and what cooties may be on it.

Today its nearly impossible to find a real shoe store. That means its hard to discover just the right size shoe you need. This old-time device measures your foot perfectly. We even bought another to have on hand.

I really needed this . And it works great. Just like I remember . They used to have those in shoe stores. And the clerks would measure your foot. I dont see these in shoe stores anymore.

I always wanted an accurate shoe sizer. This reminds me of the one the shoe store used to use when I was a kid. Worth the money.

If you consider yourself a sneaker head this is definitely a must have. I would also suggest picking up one of the cheaper plastic ones that measures in centimeters.
