these 3/8 x 3/8 Barbed Splicer Menders is exactly what i need to fix my soaker hose. I cut the leaking part of the soaker hose and inserted the splicer and problem solved.

If you have PEX or similar plumbing...like so many newly constructed homes now have...it is a great idea to keep some of these on hand in whatever size you need. You never know when you may have to do a repair, or may want to add additional line etc. With the crimping tool and the compression rings (all relatively inexpensive) anyone can do repairs literally in a matter of a couple of minutes.These are inexpensive and seem to be plenty sturdy enough to do the job and last a long time.

These fitting are hard to find today with all the new types of hoses on the market. They work very well with the older plastic hoses.

Barbs were used to build a large manometer. The OD of the barbs need to be reduced by maybe 0.001 in because they are hard to put in 0.25 in ID tubing.
