Mission: To help all families give kids a bright beginning so they can grow into healthy, happy and successful adults.
Target demographics: All families with a particular focus on those who need our support most. We strive to reach caregivers with children at risk for at least one developmental delay such as financial disadvantage, single caregiver household and language spoken at home.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 36,000 families across the nation
Geographic areas served: The entire state of Colorado, currently expanding into new regions nationwide with Bright by Text
Programs: Bright by Three’s visitation program equips Colorado families with tools to promote their child's healthy development through the most pivotal stages of growth during the earliest years of life. We partner with pediatricians, researchers and other child development experts to design program materials in English and Spanish. We offer toolkits for each age from birth till three. Part A (Prenatal-12 months old): Visitors work with parents to address their needs, connect them to support systems, and explain the importance of engaging, age-appropriate parent-child interactions. Part B (12-24 months old): Emphasizes the need to regularly talk with children to stimulate language acquisition and early literacy, both critical indicators of future success in school. Part C (24-36 months old): Builds on previous learning, reviewing topics of health and safety, developmental milestones, language and early literacy acquisition, and positive discipline. Bright by Text sends free games, tips, and resources right to your cell phone. We offer targeted developmental messages to any caregiver with a cellphone. Messages are tailored to your child’s age 0-5 and include information on child development, language and early literacy, health and safety, behavioral tips, and more!Bright by Text messages provide developmental education and guidance based on the expected birthdate or age of a child up to 5.Each message links to a landing page with more learning materials including short modeling videos and related books Expert content is from partners such as Bright by Three, PBS, Vroom, and Sesame Street. Provided with a caregiver’s zip code, Bright by Text delivers relevant information about local resources and events where community partners exist.
