There's a reason this has great ratings. We received this set as a gift, and immediately went out and purchased 3 more of the sets to finish out the house. They're perfect for small children who actually want to play with their dollhouses. They are true to the pictures - you're not going to receive something that is hand carved. But they're still small enough for small hands (my 3 year old loves them), and they fit perfectly in our 1:12 dollhouse. I don't even mind the garish neon colors on some of the sets - they make the dollhouse colorful and fun. And like I said, 3 loves it, which is perfect. The drawers open and close, but are not carved out inside so you can't actually put stuff inside of them. The wardrobe doors open. The shower opens and closes, the toilet opens and closes, and the lights are not actually attached to the furniture so the tiny humans can move them around as they see fit. All in all, a really nice set and a great idea. The princesses in our house have already taken it over.

This kitchen is cute but not what I was expecting. The oven door doesn't stay shut and the wood isn't as sturdy as I was hoping. I have bought Hape wooden doll house accessories and compared to the quality of the Hape wooden doll house accessories this one falls a bit short. However the kitchen does look nice in my daughters doll house.
